Job Summary
The Platform Picker is responsible for retrieving and delivering cushions from the upholstery platform to the final inspection line for upholstered furniture such as sofas, chairs, sectionals, and ottomans. This role ensures that the correct cushions are supplied promptly and accurately, supporting efficient operations in the final inspection and quality assurance processes. Key Responsibilities
- We Own It: Retrieve and transport cushions from the upholstery platform to the final inspection line, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- We Give Our All: Verify the cushions match the specifications and requirements of the production schedule before delivery to final inspection.
- We Are Family: Collaborate with the upholstery and inspection teams to align cushion availability with production and inspection workflows.
- Organize and stage cushions in the designated areas for the final inspection process.
- Maintain accurate records of cushion movements and report any discrepancies or quality concerns.
- We Have Fun: Contribute to a positive and engaging workplace culture while supporting production and quality objectives.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in material handling or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing or upholstery environment.
Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate cushion selection and delivery.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with upholstered furniture production processes is a plus.
