Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tower Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications towers, ensuring optimal performance for 4G/LTE and 5G networks. This role requires working at heights and operating specialized equipment, including bucket trucks. The Tower Technician will play a crucial role in providing high-quality field service to our clients.
Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunications equipment on towers.
- Operate bucket trucks safely to access high-altitude work areas.
- Conduct cabling for both high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Climb towers as necessary to perform inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Utilize voltmeters and other diagnostic tools to assess equipment functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during service calls.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tower climbing and working at heights.
- Familiarity with bucket operation and safety procedures.
- Knowledge of cabling practices for both high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Experience with 4G/LTE and 5G technology installations is preferred.
- Ability to operate field service equipment effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment as required.
- A valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus.
