The Director of Specialty Care is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational oversight of the specialty care nursing departments. This position works collaboratively with clinical and administrative leaders to ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in specialty settings. The Director plays a key role in optimizing workflows, supporting staff development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Professional Duties- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to specialty care clinical staff; identify training needs and support professional development.
- - Collaborate with specialty department managers to develop and manage budgets and ensure resource optimization.
- - Set strategic direction for specialty nursing services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including Physicians, APPs, Pharmacists, and others.
- - Ensure that specialty-specific clinical workflows, policies, and procedures are current and aligned with best practices.
- - Promote collaboration across departments to ensure seamless patient care, especially for high-acuity specialty patients.
- - Advocate for specialty patients and their families, ensuring compassionate and efficient care delivery.
- - Play a lead role in integrating specialty care services during practice acquisitions or expansion projects.
- - Performs other duties as assigned.
- - Serve as an ambassador for Desert Oasis Healthcare and Family Hospice Care at all times and positively shape the customer experience

- Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required.Current RN licensure in the State of California required.
- - 3 years of recent experience in a supervisory/managerial position, preferred. 2 years of experience in an acute care facility, medical office setting, or emergency services setting required.
- - BLS required within 60 days of hire
- - Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet established deadlines.
- - Ability to effectively communicate with individuals within all levels of the organization, patients, providers, vendors and others.
- - Able to work independently and effectively meet deadlines. Ability to utilize critical thinking and judgement to problem solve.
- - Current California driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance required.
- - At the discretion of DOHC/FHC management, this position has the potential to be a full or hybrid telecommuting position.
