Low Voltage Technician
Job Summary
Low Voltage Technician is responsible for the installation and support of complex audio/visual systems in a variety of customer environments. We are seeking a candidate with skills and abilities to install, diagnose and service audio visual equipment. The ability to work independently or as part of a team to install and troubleshoot AV systems is required. This is a full-time position with occasional overtime. Most work is performed Monday through Friday from 8-5 with the potential for some evening and weekend work. Occasional overnight travel is possible.
Primary responsibilities:
- Installation and servicing of integrated systems such as Control4, Sonos and Lighting Controls.
- Wired / Wireless Data Networks Installation, Configuration, Servicing.
- Knowledge of structured wiring of new and retrofit environments.
- Pulling audio/video/phone & data wire throughout residential and commercial buildings, diagnosis structural/room interior for efficient and optimum installations, crimp and terminate audio and video cables
- Installation of TVs, audio systems, speakers (floor, wall mounted, and recessed), entry systems, motorized shades, and computer networks.
- Installation and programming of whole home automation systems including light, shade, and HVAC control systems, video distribution systems, distributed home audio, IP security camera systems and universal remotes.
- Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual equipment installation for our clients, including low voltage wiring, trim-out, equipment rack setup, plasma/LCD, projectors and projection systems, media rooms, audio hardware and speakers, control systems.
Low Voltage Technician Requirements
- Minimum 1 to 2 years' experience in the low voltage/security industry.
- Ability to work without direct supervision.
- Basic knowledge of network design and IP Communications.
- Working knowledge of system layout and commissioning of a new system.
- Ability to interact with contractors, designers, architects and other industry professionals.
- Ability to read construction drawings / blue prints.
- Excellent communication skills (all formats) which includes establishing positive relationships with customers.
- Professional appearance.
- Valid CA driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds independently.
- Reliable transportation.
- Possess your own basic hand tools.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $35.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
