ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS FOR TRANSFER RECRUITMENT
OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. DeSales has approximately 135 full-time faculty members and offers more than 40 bachelor's degrees, twelve graduate programs, and over 20 certificate programs in a wide range of disciplines; many of these can be completed fully online.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Admissions directs and guides the overall campus admissions effort for DeSales University under the direction of the Director of Admissions. The Associate Director of Admissions fosters a caring and supportive environment, develops public relations contacts in person and by telephone, demonstrates a caring attitude toward students and other employees, and assists students in achieving their educational and career goals in accordance with the mission, core values, and purposes of the University. This position will also specialize in the recruitment of transfer students to the University. By attending college fairs, visiting local campuses and engaging with students during their search process, the Associate Director of Admissions for Transfer Recruitment will assist in maximizing the total enrollment of DeSales University.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills with individuals and large groups
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience in Datatel or other college admissions computer system
- Dedicated to the mission of a Catholic, liberal arts institution
- Sensitive to issues of ethnicity, disability and diversity
