Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking a Multilingual Resource Teacher at Algonquin Middle School to cover for a leave of absence. The leave coverage will be from approximately January 29, 2026 though May 4, 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. 2.Current valid Illinois Professional Educator Licence with appropriate endorsement. 3. ELL Endorsement is required for those who hold a PEL. 4. Experience as a middle school teacher is preferred.

District 62 has approximately 4,900 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school.

Compensation Information

District 62 substitute teachers earn $165 per day if they hold an Illinois PEL and $155 per day if they hold a substitute license. After forty days in the same role, the rate is $254.07 per day retroactive to the first day. Annual bonuses are given based on the number of days worked. This position does not include benefits.

Selection Procedure
