JOB IDENTIFICATION
Job Title: Youth Flag Football Supervisor/Instructor
Grade: II
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Department: Recreation
SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Athletics Supervisor
BASIC FUNCTION
Coordinate and supervise youth flag football camp for participants ages 5-10.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Plans and coordinates practices and games for players.
- Coordinates along with the Athletic Supervisor day of game operations and schedules.
- Demonstrates knowledge of flag football and the ability to assess and assist children’s progress.
- Track attendance of players.
- Maintain equipment provided to participants and ensure it is being used correctly.
- Communicate any medical or behavior issues with the Athletics supervisor/Parents.
- Provide First Aid when necessary
- Ensure the safety of all participants throughout all practices and games.
- Submit accident and incident reports to supervisor completely and promptly.
OTHER DUTIES
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual.
- Direct participants in the event of an emergency, such as fire, severe weather
- Communicate with Athletic supervisor regarding any equipment needing repair or replacement
- Additional duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Must be 18 years of age or older.
Experience: Some experience or knowledge of the game preferred but not necessary.
Certifications: Valid Illinois Driver's License
CPR and First Aid Certified within 3 months, Classes available through Park District upon hire
