Job Title: General Laborer – Materials Handling
Location: Urbandale IA
Pay: $17-18 / hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift 6:00am Start (Hours may vary based on workload)
Job Summary:
We are seeking dependable General Laborers to support daily operations for a growing materials company. This role involves loading and unloading materials, assisting with deliveries, traveling to job sites in company vehicles, and maintaining warehouse organization. This is a hands-on position suited for individuals who are reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently
- Assist with deliveries by riding along in company vehicles to various job sites
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, materials, and work areas
- Stage materials for outgoing shipments and incoming deliveries
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines on-site and in the warehouse
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Previous general labor, warehouse, or materials handling experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day
- Comfortable working both in a warehouse and outdoor job site environments
- Valid driver’s license preferred (not required unless driving is involved)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

- Physically active role requiring standing, lifting, bending, and walking throughout the shift
Additional Tasks:
* Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
* Sort cargo before loading and unloading.
* Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
* Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
* Stack cargo in locations, such as transit sheds or in holds of ships as directed, using pallets or cargo boards. #IND1
