Dermatology Associates of Western Connecticut is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced dermatologists and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities- Room patients and obtain medical histories
- Assist providers with examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms
- Perform clinical documentation and chart preparation
- Administer medications and injections as permitted by training and state regulations
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care
- Assist with prior authorizations, patient messages, and clinical workflows as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Support providers and teammates in delivering an outstanding patient experience
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA or RMA)
- Dermatology experience preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
- Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and excellent patient care
This position requires flexibility to travel between all four practice locations as needed:
- Newtown
- Southbury
- New Milford
- Ridgefield
Reliable transportation and the ability to work at any of our offices based on staffing and patient care needs are required.
