A growing local company has an opportunity for someone that loves to work outside and enjoys working with dogs and their owners! The is a Full-time position primarily installing underground dog fences from Southern Indiana to Lexington.
Candidate can work a flexible work schedule of 4 (10 hour) days or 5 (8 hour) days per week. We start at 8 AM in Taylorsville, KY. Some overtime may be necessary on occasion. We rarely work weekends- but 5 or 6 Saturdays per year will be needed depending on weather etc.
The job is not very demanding physically, but you must be able to lift up to 30 lbs on occasion. You will also walk 5 to 7 miles on any given day and will bend, stoop, and kneel most days. In addition to installing the fences, you will also learn how to train the owners and their dogs on the proper use of the system. You must be the kind of person that pays attention to detail, follows strict procedures and takes pride in being the best at what you do.
Our starting pay is $22 per hour. You will be in training for 3 or 4 months. Once fully qualified, pay will go up as participation in our bonus program becomes an option. In addition, our technicians occasionally receive tips. An Employee health insurance plan is available at a discounted rate ( after 60 days). A 401K plan with company contribution will also be available as part of the compensation (after 90 days).
We have a casual and friendly work environment. You will often be working with one other person, but will also work alone once fully trained.

Responsibilities and Duties
Stock company work truck with daily supplies.
Drive 10' Box truck to customer location.
Greet customer, install wire around property with easy to use machinery.
Train dog and the customer on proper use of dog fence.
Perform repairs of broken dog fence wires.
Qualifications and Skills
No dog fence experience needed.
General experience using basic tools
Experience/ ability to back up an enclosed trailer
A stable employment history.
Clean driving record
Successful background check
