Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a full-time Housekeeper/Porter for various Shifts and will include every other weekend.
Job Duties Include:
- Ensuring the facility is kept clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp/wet mopping, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, trash removal and for the removal of bio-hazard waste.
- Keeping their assigned areas clean and attractive
- Promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection
- Ensuring all equipment is in working order
- Completing their daily routine however, each staff member is cross-trained in all other areas of Environmental Services and can be asked to perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1 Year Prior Housekeeping experience required.
Additional Considerations
Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred.
Experience stripping and waxing floors, extracting and bonnet cleaning of carpets.
