VP of Procurement / Chief Procurement Officer

DCI is searching for a dynamic Vice President of Procurement/Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead all purchasing activities, strategic sourcing, and vendor relationships to drive cost efficiency, supply chain stability, and alignment with corporate goals.

Position is located in either Tampa, FL or Houston, TX

Position Responsibilities

• Sets DCI’s procurement vision, category/vendor strategies, and goals/objectives in alignment with those from the three core business units
• Collaborate, support, and drive alignment with site-level operational leaders to ensure long-term buy-in and compliance with sourcing programs
• Partner and provide support to all sites to deploy necessary buying tools, policies, central buying support, reporting and best practices to drive savings and ensure supply of needed services and materials
• Accountable for delivering procurement-driven EBITDA improvement in line with value creation plan
• Build the capabilities of the DCI procurement function, upskill staff, and identify tools, analytics and gaps needed to effectively serve DCI business units; continuously assess team for improvement and professional growth
• Develop aggressive strategic sourcing strategies across all categories, including defining specific roadmaps of actions with milestones
• Lead execution of strategic sourcing fundamentals (e.g., category strategies, competitive RFPs, regional sourcing, supplier consolidation, long-term contracts, etc.) and partner with procurement staff to drive broader sourcing actions (e.g., e-Auctions, P2P catalogs, value engineering, etc.)
• Determine compliance processes and KPIs with the business once suppliers are selected and contracts negotiated
• Monitors KPIs / performance measurements and addresses supplier non-performance, DCI non-compliance and procurement service level issues
• Partner with finance and business leaders to ensure savings capture, compliance, tracking and retention
• Build effective relationships with key supplier executives as well as peers in the industry
• Partner with DCI operations to resolve constrained and late delivery issues
• Develops and manages central procurement organization budget
• Establishes communication plans regarding procurement activities
• Mitigate supply chain risk by working directly with key strategic suppliers to ensure they are maintaining performance and supply availability
  
  

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience with 10 years’ experience as a procurement and/or supply chain business leader with successful track record of procurement-driven EBITDA impact
• International experience beneficial
• Robust knowledge of how to leverage A.I.
• Exposure and familiarity with infrastructure, chemical and logistics industries; experience with PE-backed firms is beneficial
• Familiarity with maintenance, fleet, facilities, parts, chemicals, indirect and capex spend
• Expertise in negotiations and managing complex contractual arrangements
• Demonstrated expertise in procurement processes and systems, e.g., P2P, spend analytics, etc.
• Strong organizational building and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively across business units
