We are looking to hire an ISO Chassis Mechanic to maintain ISO trailer chassis by installing and repairing brakes, suspension parts, pneumatic and hydraulic system parts, and welding (must be certified) at our location in Louisville, KY.
Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
This position is for our Louisville branch at 3837 Fitzgerald Road.
Pay Range: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair frames and metal truck trailers
- Modify and reconstruct chassis
- Installing electric wiring for dome lights and tailgates
- Fitting and assembling components
- Use hand tools and portable power tools
- Spray, brush primer and protective coating on metal/wood
- Welding (Certification required) as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a Certified Welder (Certification must be shown upon time welding test is given)
- Must have at least 2 years experience as a Chassis / Trailer Mechanic
- CDL or Lift Operator experience preferred
- Possess strong communication skills
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to effectively prioritize work
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- High school diploma or GED
