Job Overview:
The essential role of chassis repair mechanic to maintain, and repair trailers used for national and international shipping distribution. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment in yard and field environments to keep equipment safe, compliant, and operational.
Job Responsibilities and accountability:
· Troubleshoot and repair all chassis/trailer defects.
· Including ABS systems; air brake system, wheel end, and structural assemblies
· Some welding and fabrication of chassis and shipping containers.
· Maintain productivity while working independently in outdoor environments
· Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs.
Job Requirements:
·Strong mechanical background required
·Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability preferred
·Valid Driver’s License required
·Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
·Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without assistance
·Basic computer skills required
·Comfortable using mobile/tablet applications for documentation
