Shipping & Receiving Coordinator

The Shipping and Receiving job involves managing the flow of goods, from unloading trucks and verifying deliveries against orders (receiving) to packaging, labeling, and dispatching outgoing shipments (shipping), requiring strong attention to detail oriented, organizational skills, computer skills, and physical stamina to track inventory, maintain records, handle documentation (BOLs, packing slips), and ensure accuracy and safety in a warehouse setting.

Position Responsibilities

• Must have 1 to 2 years experience in Shipping and Receiving.
• Receiving: Unloading trucks, checking deliveries for damage/accuracy, matching items to purchase orders/invoices, logging items into inventory systems, and storing stock.
• Shipping: Maintain Customer Shipping Schedules accurately and on on time. Picking and packing orders, preparing shipping documents (BOLs, labels), weighing packages, calculating costs, and coordinating with carriers (UPS, FedEx).
• Inventory Management: Maintaining accurate stock levels, organizing warehouse storage, and restocking shelves.
• Documentation: Processing paperwork, updating logs, and ensuring compliance.
• Safety & Housekeeping: Following warehouse safety rules, operating Forklift (certification preferred, but not required). Keeping the area tidy.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Basic computer proficiency (data entry, inventory software).
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Typical Work Environment

• Warehouses, distribution centers, retail backrooms.
• May involve physical tasks, heavy lifting, and standing all day.
