Position Responsibilities
- Pressure testing tanks, draining and drying out tanks, repairing and replacing valves, and ensuring that tank container valves, gaskets, and gauges function properly to ensure the safe transportation of products
- The essential functions of the job include repairing and maintaining tank containers using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and precision measuring and testing instruments,
- Observing and listening to mechanical devices to diagnose causes of mechanical issues.
- Repair and replace defective parts, inspect and adjust used parts, lubricating and cleaning parts, operating lathe, drill press, grinders, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
- Preferred candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred candidates will also have a current forklift certification
- Candidates will possess a mechanical background.
- Be able to wear a respirator, be comfortable with both heights on top of tanks and enclosed spaces also inside of tanks.
- Have worked in an industrial setting
