Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Database Administrator with hands-on Oracle APEX experience and a strong interest in building low-code applications and dashboards. This role blends traditional DBA and data architecture responsibilities with modern cloud operations, application enablement, and participation in a growing IT team.
In addition to database development and cloud administration, this position contributes to common IT operations such as laptop provisioning, software licensing management, and employee technical support.

Key Responsibilities – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Design, deploy, and manage OCI resources (Databases, Compute, VCNs, Load Balancers, Object Storage)
- Manage IAM policies, compartments, and security controls
- Monitor performance, cost, availability, and security
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies
Key Responsibilities – Oracle Database Administration
- Administer Oracle Databases in OCI (Autonomous Database)
- Design new and enhance existing data architectures and database schemas
- Selectively expose data over secure REST endpoints
- Programmatically obtain data from 3rd-party partners via REST and store it in the database
- Perform database provisioning, migrations, cloning, and upgrading
- Monitor and tune performance (SQL, indexing, storage)
- Manage backup & recovery configurations and procedures
- Ensure security, auditing, and compliance
Key Responsibilities – Oracle APEX & Low-Code Development
- Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications
- Build dashboards and reports for business users
- Design secure authentication and authorization models
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into applications
Key Responsibilities – IT Operations & Support
- Provision and maintain employee laptops and workstations
- Manage software subscriptions, licenses, and renewals
- Provide Tier 1–2 technical support for employees
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding IT tasks
- Support general IT infrastructure as the team grows
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with OCI and Autonomous Database
- Oracle APEX development expertise
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience designing data architectures and database schemas
- Familiarity with web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and REST
- Solid troubleshooting and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a related field
- Ability to be at the office in Salt Lake City, UT metro area on business days
- Authorization to work in the U.S.A.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Autonomous Database experience
- Web integrations using Oracle REST Data Services and APEX_WEB_SERVICE
- DevOps or automation exposure (OCI CLI)
- Dashboarding, analytics, and data science experience
- Expertise with full-stack mobile and web development -- using NodeJS back-ends is a plus
- Understanding of IP networking in the cloud
- Bachelor’s degree specifically in Business I.T. or Computer Science
- 5-10 years of relevant post-graduation work experience
