Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Amityville, NY. The ideal candidate will manage incoming and outgoing payments, maintain accurate financial records, and support the accounting department.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (somewhat flexible)
Responsibilities:
- Process customer invoices and payments
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Process vendor invoices and prepare payments
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
- Communicate with customers and vendors regarding billing inquiries
- Provide general support to the accounting department
Requirements:
- Experience with Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
