What You’ll Do
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for hospice field staff
- Match clinician assignments with patient needs, skill sets, and geographic areas
- Partner with clinical leadership to manage open visits and PTO coverage
- Establish and track hospice benefit periods accurately
- Schedule required face-to-face visits with nurse practitioners
- Respond quickly and professionally to urgent or last-minute scheduling needs
- Communicate schedule updates clearly with field staff and leadership
- Review visit logs and support documentation compliance
- Maintain accurate records in EMR and scheduling systems
- Serve as a key liaison between clinical and administrative teams
- Support onboarding by coordinating schedules for new hires
- Contribute to team meetings and process improvements
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of healthcare scheduling experience (hospice or home health preferred)
- Experience with EMR/scheduling platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy standards
- A compassionate mindset and genuine desire to support patients and families
