JOB SUMMARY
Maintain the organization’s effectiveness through technology and continuous improvement. Collaborate with managers and vice presidents across all departments to develop, deliver and support short-term and long-term strategic plans for the business via information technology sustainability and advancement. Manage, monitor, maintain and support existing systems including the Infor XA (Mapics) ERP system and ancillary systems through analytics, programming, database maintenance and general applied technical knowledge. Identify areas where the
IT department can drive and protect the business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP:
- This role requires hands-on support and oversight of the information technology staff.
- Drive business goals via your leadership of the IT Team.
- Translates the company strategic plan into IT systems and procedures, articulating this critical link to the company stakeholders including Senior Management, IT staff and employees.
- Manage, motivate, train, and develop all staff within the IT group, and outside consultants/service
providers. Ensure the IT organizational structure is appropriate for supporting current and future business needs.
- Proactive participation with the Production and Operations team in addition to Senior Management, driving
cross-functional collaboration through the IT team.
PLANNING:
- Lead and coordinate development of IT infrastructure to ensure key business strategies and processes are supported by systems that enable growth and flexibility.
- Implement, enforce and adhere to policies and procedures as regulated by the corporate office, SOX Compliance, ITAR Compliance, NIST Cybersecurity controls and best practices.
- Oversee analysis and evaluation of staffing & consulting requirements to fulfill business requirements including directing the evaluation of make vs. buy decisions as they relate to outsourcing vs. in-house provisioning and identifying and developing strategic partnerships with key IT suppliers, licenses and contracts, vendors and consultant organizations.
- Develop IT expense and capital plan on an annual basis
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the IT team and applicable vendors to ensure availability of necessary application systems to support business and operational needs.
- End user support to ensure IT infrastructure is maximized by identifying user needs
- Maintain system availability & uptime by deploying best practices on an ongoing basis and address critical issues in a timely manner (e.g. system down, hardware failures, etc.).
- Ensure secure environment and compliance w/aerospace and defense standards by enforcing IT policies,procedures and systems. Protect the company and its operations against IT risks, including unauthorized access to information, data integrity problems, loss of processing capability, and poor service levels. (e.g. NIST, CMMC)
- IT governance is paramount. Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies and procedures and participate in the monthly IT corporate calls to stay connected to our goals & objectives
- Vendor and Project Management by leading and coordinating the selection, installation, operation, support and maintenance of our information technology infrastructure (e.g. operating systems, networks, telecommunications, hardware, and peripherals).
- Continuous process improvement of our systems and organization. Providing recommendations /
suggestions based upon personal experience or via research of best practices – not vendor/consultant driven.
- Push technology towards the future to support the business (e.g. Business analytics, AI, etc.).
- Directs all matters related to the LAN / telecommunications / Servers / Exchange / Domain Controller functions including the planning, designing, installation and maintenance of networks in support of all systems.
- Manage annual audits with internal and external auditors on compliance matters.
- Maintain all devices including laptops, workstations, tablets and phones.
- Complies and conducts business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Promotes
ethical behavior by acting with honesty and integrity.
- Support during non-business hours and weekends.
- Perform other duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
DIRECT REPORTS:
- All IT Staff (System Analyst, Business Analyst, and Technical Support Specialist)
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION: 4-year college degree in Computer Science preferred. Technical college degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of IT management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, highly preferred.
- 5 years of programming
- 5 years of project management
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of .Net
- SOX Compliance
- NIST and CMMC compliance
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- ERP systems in manufacturing environment
- Experience with AS400
- Knowledge of Infor XA / Mapics
- Knowledge of Enovia SmarTeams
- Experience with security controls & frameworks (SOX, NIST, CMMC, DFARS, ITAR)
- Exchange/O365
- Knowledge of Firewalls / Routers / Switches.
- Network protocols and technologies
- Modern backup solutions
- Security Awareness & Training programs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending or reaching as duties require.
- Travel occasionally
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
