Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Verify patient insurance coverage, including Medicare and health insurance policies, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Collect and review patient information
• Schedule appointments efficiently while managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
• Assist patients with intake forms
• Maintain confidentiality of all health information in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies and health information management standards
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10-key typing), and managing electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure accurate recordkeeping

Skills

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance processes, and clinical confidentiality policies
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR system; experience with electronic health records management is highly preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
• Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively
• Experience in medical office management or front desk operations within a clinic setting is highly desirable
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
