SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The primary purpose of this position is to provide leadership and supervision to the Adult Protective Services Unit for District 15. The person in this position will supervise federal and state-funded programs within applicable laws, guidelines, procedures to achieve outcome expectations and excellent customer service. Provide leadership, training, and direction to APS staff to assist and assure that the agency goals are being met, as well as assuring that Oregonians are receiving benefits. The successful candidate for this position will be part of a team of three supervisors responsible for monitoring the support of programs and services offered by ODHS, adhering to SEIU bargaining agreements, and advising District Leadership on safety for all field visits as well as office safety. This position helps to develop and implement the local area’s plan of service and works closely with all ODHS and community partners. This position directly supervises 9-12 staff but must also be accessible to provide supervisory services to all staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience;
OR
One year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or human services.

- Experience and knowledge with Adult Protective Services regulatory standards and compliance or protecting vulnerable populations from abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work a flexible work schedule that may include early morning, evening and/or weekend work. This means that the hours of work may vary from day to day. Occasional travel may be required with some overnight stays. You must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
