BASIC REQUIREMENT(S) :
Education: A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program is required. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education(external link) , Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs(external link) , Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education(external link) , or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education(external link) at the time the degree was obtained.
In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below-
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Evaluate and modify patient services to improve or ensure quality patient care; serve as a primary liaison between referral of health care agencies and treatment facilities; independently plan and provide continuous professional nursing care, practices, medical protocols or guidelines for patients; and develop a tracking system for patient care services, treatment plans, and coordination of case management. Provide clinical coaching, mentoring, and department responsibility to nursing staff as defined in the above-mentioned areas.

Successfully completed a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree from a professional nursing educational program or related medical science field.

- Conducts rounds to asses patient acuity, staffing patterns, and resource needs across units, making adjustments or reallocations to support patient safety and workload balance.
- Leads, directs, and supports staff to ensure high-quality patient care delivery during all shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
