Technical Support Specialist

Department of Corrections Credit Union (DOCCU) is looking for an experienced Technical Support Specialist for our Main Office location in Baton Rouge, LA.

The responsibilities of the position are as follows:

• Promptly respond to user tickets/inquiries in reference to PC's, network systems, hardware, software, printers, copiers, scanners and phone system.
• Provide IT support which includes installation and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and all applications, including any customization as necessary.
• Will be asked to troubleshoot communication, networking, computer and printer issues, and assist users via phone, remote or onsite.
• Assist with server maintenance and network administrative activities.
• Assist with IT Audit, Disaster Recovery backup/recovery/testing.
• Establish and run vulnerability scans (OVAL) for testing, document new patches before deployment.
• Maintain patching on computers.

Desired Skills and Experience: Experience with the following technologies/products:

• Microsoft Operating Systems
• Office 365
• Active Directory
• Data Backup/Restore
• Must be able to travel occasionally and when needed to remote branches.
• Must be able to squat, bend and lift up to 40 pounds.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and work well in a team setting as well as demonstrate flexibility in working Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
