Job Duties

Manages clerical tasks for a nursing care unit, ensuring smooth communication, accurate record keeping and efficient coordination of the medical records for nurses and practitioners in collaboration with all disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of medical terminology.

Previous office experience, i.e. administrative or clerical support.

Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience using office equipment to include telephones, printers, and copier/fax machine.

A valid driver’s license is required and must remain valid and in good standing throughout employment.

This Position Will Also Include

Interpersonal skills and ability to interact with unit and professional staff as well as patients.

Verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently, track and resolve issues and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of hospital services, record keeping and medical terminology.

Additional Considerations

Previous behavioral health and/or hospital experience.

Veterans and people with National Service.

Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.
