Responsibilities and Duties may include:
Read and understand work instructions
· Read and compare part numbers and identifying markings on wires and terminals
· Route and connect wires from generator to correct terminals on selector switch
· Route and connect wires to terminal board and terminal strip
· Gather and tie generator wires and wires at terminal board
· Use test meter to verify correct dielectric and continuity test readings
· Install covers for selector switch, control box, changeover switch, and 3-phase output terminal
· Install corrugated protective plastic tubing around generator wires
· Re-tap threaded holes
· Install acoustic insulation
· Align and install radiator
· Install radiator drain hose, overflow hose and clamps; tighten clamp securely
· Assemble and install engine fan shroud
· Install upper and lower radiator hoses and clamps; tighten clamps securely
· Install upper and lower intercooler hoses and clamps; tighten clamps securely
· When applicable, operate overhead crane to move radiators and/or sub-assemblies
· Route wires to current transformers and circuit breaker, connect wires to circuit breaker and tighten bolts to specified torque
· Install positive battery cable on battery. Install negative battery cable to battery; install ground cable
· Route and connect engine harness wires to the starter, fuel pump and other locations per instructions
· Route and connect engine harness wires to the alternator and tighten bolts to specified torque
· Assemble doors with latches and ducts and install door hinges on generator unit
· Install completed doors on hinges and adjust for even spacing and clearances
· Install front and rear covers
· Apply sealing rubber gasket to door openings
· Check and verify the quality and accuracy of own work and work done by the tea
· Accurately record data on Assembly Check List
· General housekeeping (sweep floors in work areas, pick up and dispose of paper, etc.)
Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements
· Read and follow written instructions, pictures and diagrams
· Perform moderately complex, but critical, job tasks
· Work with minimal direct supervision to meet production time/Tact requirements
· Adapt to changes in engine and alternator models and assembly requirements
· Average or better mechanical aptitude and/or work experience involving use of hand and power tools
Load/unload metal parts on paint line
· High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to differentiate colors of wires and connectors
· Fine manual dexterity skills for manipulating wires, connectors and hand tools
· Stand or walk eight to ten hours or more on a frequent basis
· Lift 20 pounds or less frequently
Lift 50 pounds or more occasionally
· Bend and/or squat frequently while performing job tasks
· Grasp, push, pull, and manipulate objects frequently with one or both hands
· Use required personal protective equipment (e.g. safety shoes, safety glasses)

Working conditions
· Normal work schedule is 6:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday
· Additional, scheduled and required overtime hours are likely, usually on Friday. We will work an occasional Saturday.
· Work space is clean and well-lit, free of dusts and chemical vapors
· Work space is well-ventilated but subject to moderate seasonal variations in temperature
