The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for our patients and plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service. This position is also responsible for verifying dental insurance coverage, understanding patient benefits, and communicating financial information clearly and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet patients warmly and check them in/out efficiently
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records in practice management software
- Process payments and review treatment estimates
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
Dental Insurance Verification:
- Verify patient dental insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments
- Confirm coverage details including deductibles, annual maximums, waiting periods, and frequency limitations
- Accurately enter insurance information into the system
- Communicate patient financial responsibility clearly and professionally
- Assist with claim submissions and follow up on outstanding claims as needed
