Supply Chain Inventory Planning Analyst

About The Role:

Nashville Dental, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain Inventory Planning Analyst with experience using Epicor Prophet 21 or a similar Epicor distribution ERP platform. This position plays a key role in optimizing inventory levels, improving forecast accuracy, and maximizing the capabilities of P21 across our distribution operations.

In this hands-on, systems-forward supply chain role, you will manage forecasting, replenishment, SKU performance, item master accuracy, and vendor coordination for approximately 7,000 stocked SKUs, supporting our operations across multiple states.

This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who enjoys analytical work, system optimization, and working cross-functionally to ensure inventory accuracy and product availability.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Planning & Forecasting

• Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using Prophet 21.
• Analyze sales trends, vendor performance, and historical data to refine stocking levels.
• Adjust safety stock, lead times, min/max values, and replenishment parameters.
• Identify slow-moving, obsolete, and overstock items and recommend corrective actions.

Replenishment & Vendor Communication

• Review and approve replenishment recommendations in P21.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding fill rates, backorders, discontinued items, and new product introductions.
• Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities to improve service levels.

Data & Systems Optimization

• Serve as a P21 subject-matter expert for forecasting, replenishment, and item management.
• Improve system workflows, reporting structures, and data accuracy.
• Maintain clean and compliant item master data.

Analytics & Reporting

• Build and maintain reporting/dashboards for forecast accuracy, stockouts, inventory turns, excess/obsolete inventory, and supplier performance.
• Provide actionable insights to leadership, purchasing, warehouse operations, marketing, and sales.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Purchasing, Warehouse, Sales, and Marketing to align inventory needs with organizational goals.
• Support cycle counts, audit processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist leadership in preparing analytical materials for key vendor meetings.

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, purchasing, or distribution analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Epicor Prophet 21 (forecasting, replenishment, or item management strongly preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, PivotTables, modeling).
• Experience communicating with suppliers or operational partners.
• Ability to manage large SKU counts and prioritize effectively.
• Willing to work onsite in Madison, TN

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in wholesale distribution, medical/dental supply, or multi-location inventory environments.
• APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP) a plus.
• Experience improving or helping implement P21 processes.

Pay: $73, $105,000.00 per year
