Dental Oral Surgery is seeking a motivated, hands-on Practice Manager to oversee daily operations at our growing oral surgery practice. This is more than a traditional office manager role. We're looking for a leader who can develop a high-performing team, create an exceptional patient experience, and drive operational and financial success.
Our Practice Managers lead by example, working alongside their team to support patient care, improve efficiency, and build a positive workplace culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop front office and clinical support staff
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellent patient care
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and employee development
- Manage employee scheduling, attendance, and performance issues
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day practice operations
- Ensure smooth patient flow from check-in through discharge
- Partner with providers to maximize schedule utilization and patient access
- Implement company initiatives and operational improvements
- Maintain staffing efficiency and operational excellence
Treatment Coordination
- Present treatment plans and explain financial responsibilities
- Review insurance benefits and financing options
- Assist patients with scheduling recommended treatment
- Support providers in improving treatment acceptance and case conversion
Compliance & Administrative Oversight
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and company policies
- Manage petty cash, deposits, reporting, and operational controls
- Oversee biopsy tracking and documentation
- Support inventory management and quality initiatives
Qualifications:
Required
- 3 years of healthcare or dental leadership experience
- Experience managing teams in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management software
Preferred
- Oral surgery, dental, OMS, or specialty healthcare experience
- Treatment coordination experience
- Knowledge of dental insurance
- Experience with Dentrix Ascend or similar software
Compensation & Benefits
- $27.00-$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
