Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team in a part time capacity, on Mondays and Tuesdays. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. As a key member of our practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall efficiency of clinical operations. Duties

• Perform dental prophylaxis, including cleaning teeth, scaling, and polishing to remove plaque and calculus effectively.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal dental health.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
• Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to ensure a safe clinical environment

Qualifications

• Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
• Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and electronic health records management.
• Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to educate diverse patient populations effectively
