Role Description This is a part time position, on Mondays and Tuesdays, based in Cleveland, TN. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing dental prophylaxis, periodontal assessments, and non-surgical periodontal therapies, as well as providing individualized oral hygiene instruction and preventive care. The role involves reviewing medical and dental histories, taking and interpreting dental radiographs, documenting clinical findings, and collaborating with the dentist on treatment planning. The hygienist will also assist in maintaining infection control standards, preparing operatories, and ensuring that patients have a comfortable, positive experience. This position requires consistent communication with patients and the dental team to support high-quality, efficient clinical operations.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills in Dentistry and Dental Care, with the ability to support comprehensive treatment plans.
- Proficiency in Hygiene procedures, including Dental Prophylaxis and management of Periodontal Disease.
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Tennessee, in good standing.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, radiography, and electronic dental records systems.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills, with a focus on building trust and promoting preventive care.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- CPR certification and ongoing commitment to continuing education and professional development.
