Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA and infection control standards
- Capture high-quality digital radiographs, intraoral photographs, and impressions or digital scans
- Accurately document patient records and assist with clinical charting in the practice management system
- Deliver an exceptional patient experience by ensuring comfort, clear communication, and efficient clinical flow
- Prepare and turnover operatories efficiently between patients
- Coordinate and track laboratory cases, communicating with dental labs as needed
- Support same-day dentistry and digital workflows
- Monitor clinical inventory and restock treatment rooms and supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment
- Collaborate effectively with the clinical and administrative teams to support daily operations
- Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all applicable regulatory and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Massachusetts dental assistant certification
- Current dental radiology certification
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, positive attitude
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care
- Willingness to learn and use advanced dental technology, including same day crowns, digital scanning, and CBCT
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
Preferred Qualifications
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Two or more years of dental assisting experience
- Proficiency with digital dental technology, including intraoral scanning, digital imaging, and electronic clinical documentation
- Experience with surgical procedures, orthodontics, and same-day crowns is a plus
