- Oversee fiscal management tasks such as budgeting, billing, collections, and financial reporting to maintain practice profitability.
- Manage medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
- Supervise staff including front desk personnel, dental assistants, and hygienists; provide training on office policies, medical terminology, and customer service standards.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards, HIPAA privacy rules, and managed care protocols.
- Handle human resources responsibilities including hiring, performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and staff development initiatives.
- Collaborate with dental providers on treatment planning and case management to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain clinic supplies inventory and oversee vendor relationships to support seamless practice operations.
- Implement quality assurance measures to uphold high standards of care in accordance with healthcare management best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in dental office management or a similar healthcare administrative role within a clinical setting.
- Strong background in medical office administrative support with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or eClinicalWorks.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience overseeing teams in medical or dental practices; capable of motivating staff and fostering teamwork.
- Knowledge of fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, billing procedures, and managed care processes.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance standards, and healthcare regulations such as JCAHO requirements.
