Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
To troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, modify, set-up, adjust, and maintain production equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical, mechanical, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles of operation.
Reads and interprets diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions to perform maintenance and repair work.
Uses full range of measuring, gauging, analysis, machine and hand tools to perform maintenance work.
Sets-up and tests production equipment under power according to company safety standards and OSHA requirements.
Advises operators of standard operating procedures and requirements for working safely with production equipment.
Communicates maintenance problems, results, corrective actions, and recommendations to the chain-of-command, and to the customer as needed.
Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company standards or policies.
Works with other trades as part of a maintenance team – engineering, machinist, die maintenance, administrative personnel, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned by chain-of-command.
QUALIFICATIONS

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications listed.
Education
High school diploma or completion of high school equivalence exam required
Completion of formal apprenticeship training program to the satisfaction of DENSO management, or 2 years of industrial maintenance education, experience or related military experience with extensive knowledge of industrial maintenance as determined by the job interview and evaluation process
Work Experience
2 years of industrial maintenance experience required
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Sufficient reading and writing ability à to follow maintenance, safety, and quality instructions and compile and record maintenance data
Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines and tools, and visually inspect equipment, controls and components
Sufficient manual dexterity to operate production equipment, test equipment, tools, and to handle material and components properly
Sufficient analysis and planning skills to understand maintenance instructions, troubleshoot mechanical, electronic, robotic, hydraulic, and pneumatic operating systems and to plan work based on such information and analysis results
Statistical process control (SPC) experience
Programmable Logic Control (PLC) experience
Willingness to wear required safety equipment and follow safety rules and procedures
