Maintenance Team Leader – 1st shift

JOB SUMMARY: Supervise and coordinate activities of Maintenance Associates in the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of machinery. This includes ensuring that associates have proper training and materials to perform their duties. Work with associates to increase morale, manage relationships, problem solve and resolve conflicts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Follow and enforce safety guidelines.
• Provide needed direction, support, and materials to maintenance associates.
• Research and report spare parts needed for equipment and fixtures.
• Provide maintenance associates with needed training and orientation to the department and the job.
• Balance workload among maintenance associates.
• Communicate with contractors and vendors as needed.
• Ensure preventative maintenance inspections are properly done and report findings to management.
• Inspect work/repairs for quality per standard and enforce quality guidelines.
• Work effectively with team members to troubleshoot quality and/or production issues.
• Ensure facility maintenance is properly carried out.
• Keep the area organized and clean following 5S principles.
• Accurately complete department paperwork and reports to management.
• Increase staff morale and manage relationships between associates and/or management.
• Complete required training programs.
• Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring, troubleshooting, and theory.
• CNC and PLC experience is preferred.
• Ability to obtain forklift license.
• Ability to accurately complete all paperwork.
• Ability to work with associates to increase morale, manage relationships, and resolve conflict.

Pay: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
