Duties
- Prepare cabinet surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
- Operate spray guns, and conventional painting tools to apply finishes with precision and consistency.
- Interpret production documents and specifications to achieve desired color matches and finish quality.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment for surface preparation and assembly tasks.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE use such as respirators, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing during all finishing processes.
- Conduct quality inspections using visual color comparison tools and precision measuring instruments to verify finish standards meet specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment by following lean manufacturing principles and proper waste disposal practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial painting, or construction painting surface preparation is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of coating application techniques including spraying with paint and coating spray guns.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to respiratory protection, PPE use, respirator maintenance, and industrial safety standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manufacturing instructions, and production documents accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience operating hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and other material handling machinery.
- Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating coating quantities.
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with lean manufacturing practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent visual color comparison skills for quality assurance purposes.
