What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer I (Revit) position at Dennis Group?
We are looking for a Mechanical Designer to plan, design, and implement mechanical systems for industrial food and beverage production facilities. In this role you will work on multi-disciplinary project teams and have an opportunity to perform, practice, and apply a wide range of mechanical design engineering skills.

Responsibilities
- Set-up and generation of mechanical drawings for client review, bidding and construction
- Assist in mechanical design:
- Development of HVAC, plumbing, and utility piping plans
- Size and develop layouts for ductwork and piping plans
- Develop mechanical/utility equipment and construction drawings
- Mechanical Department design support:
- Work with mechanical team members to maintain and improve REVIT templates and content
- Coordinate design/design standard efforts with other trades within Dennis Group (Architectural, Electrical, Process)
- 0-3 years HVAC and/or utilities design experience
- 0-3 years’ experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma
- Experience with mechanical construction drawings
- Experience with an engineering firm preferred
- Willing to travel 10-15% to client job sites
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal staff and clients
- Detail oriented with problem solving skills
