Denney Electric Supply, an 85 year-old family-owned electrical distributor with 11 locations, is seeking a driven, customer-focused Store Manager to lead our Kennett Square location. You will oversee store operations, supervise staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and serve as the face of Denney Electric in Chester County.
Duties / Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
· Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of approximately 15 employees.
· Ensure efficient, accurate, and safe daily store operations.
· Manage payroll, scheduling, and compliance with company processes.
· Maintain a professional and organized store environment.
Sales & Customer Relations
· Support outside sales efforts to grow the local market.
· Serve as the primary escalation contact for customer issues.
· Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships.
· Promote Denney Electric products, solutions, and services.
Warehouse & Logistics Oversight
· Oversee receiving, stocking, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
· Ensure accurate and timely delivery schedules.
· Coordinate with internal teams to support accurate order processing.
Team Development
· Coach and mentor employees to build a capable, customer-focused team.
· Provide ongoing training and technical knowledge.
· Encourage a positive and collaborative work culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Supervisory or store/branch management experience preferred.
· Knowledge of electrical supplies preferred, or willingness to learn.
· Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer programs.
· High School or Trade School diploma required.
· Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Physical Requirements
· Periods of standing, walking, or computer work.
· Occasional lifting in a warehouse environment.
· Daily on-site presence required.
