As an Inside Sales Representative for Denney Electric Supply you are responsible for providing exceptional customer satisfaction by effectively handling customer sales inquiries. You will need to provide guidance and technical information about the products needed by our customers. This will require you to work closely with various, more experienced team members throughout the company to maximize the customer experience by understanding customer needs and providing support and effective solutions. You must also be comfortable building relationships with new and existing customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintains relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
- Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepare and submits orders.
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly to the customer.
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, status of product availability
- Performs other duties as assigned. This includes general clerical work, setting up for events and supporting Denney Electric with various community organizations. General Housekeeping is expected of all our team members.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Thorough understanding of technical details of the products to be sold.
- Organized with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customer’s.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel to meet with clients or potential clients will be required on occasion.
- Required to report into office daily according to schedule coordinated by the store manager.
This job DOES NOT have the option to work remotely.
Qualifications:
- High School / Trade School diploma
- Knowledge of electrical supplies & equipment preferred
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Computer experience
- Excellent follow-up skills
- Customer service skills
- Good problem-solving skills
