Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the company's outgoing payments, ensure accurate processing of invoices, and maintain strong vendor relationships. Your expertise in accounting systems and financial software will help keep our financial operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Must be willing to travel to corporate location locally for initial training.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify vendor invoices using Eclipse
- Ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions with the general ledger
- Handle data entry with precision, including 10 key typing and double-entry bookkeeping tasks
- Reconcile credit cards weekly
- Assist in billing of customer for direct shipments
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while providing excellent customer service to vendors and internal teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles
- Knowledge of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management
- Familiarity with financial software including Epicore
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with and skills in Excel data analysis and spreadsheets
- Excellent numeracy skills combined with attention to detail for accurate bookkeeping and data entry
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining high levels of accuracy and efficiency
