Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead a full calendar of creative activities, including themed parties, music, dance, crafts, clubs, and scenic outings
- Design activities to fit everyone's interests, abilities, and personalities
- Lead a team of activity staff, including hiring, training, and mentoring
- Write person-centered care plans, assessments, and progress notes
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure holistic care and a fun, community-focused environment
- Organize events, guest entertainers, and volunteer programs
- Host resident council meetings and ensure every voice is heard
- Spread smiles, high-fives, and laughter throughout the facility
- CERTIFIED ACTIVITY DIRECTOR
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience running recreation programs in long-term care
