What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Interior Designer position at Denise Bosley Interiors?
We are a very busy, full service, boutique Interior Design/ Interior Architecture firm. Our projects consist of full house remodels, additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels and furniture procurement. We are looking to hire a designer to work with and under the direction of the Principal Designer at our firm.
We are looking for a talented, driven individual with an eye for detail and a desire to learn and grow in the industry. We learn something new every day here! We want someone with a positive attitude that will assist in every step of the start-to-finish life cycle of client projects. We are a casual office with a fun, collaborative, and professional environment.
Job Responsibilities:
-Attend site meetings with clients and contractors and assist designer in preparation of meetings
-Knowledge of general building codes
-Draft full sets of plans- Exterior elevations, site plans, floor plans, electrical plans, interior elevations, etc.
-Create and organize spec books for construction
-Help source finishes, furniture, and fabrics for client projects
-Procurement of goods
-Help put design presentations together
-Product entry into design/accounting program
-Project coordination
- Measure and take photos of existing homes. We use Canvas for measuring
Ideal Candidate must have:
-BA/BS (Open to self-taught if the following skills are met)
-Expert in 2d CAD and Sketchup
-Must have at LEAST 8-10 years of experience at an interior design or architecture firm
-A car
-A good attitude
