The Role
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to support attorneys in our Lexington, Kentucky office across a high-volume active caseload. You will keep cases moving, clients informed, and deadlines tracked while also drafting demand letters, complaints, and other legal documents under attorney supervision. You will interact regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and adjusters on behalf of the firm. This role requires someone who is highly organized, a strong writer, and comfortable managing a lot of moving pieces simultaneously.

What You'll Do
- Draft basic legal documents under attorney supervision
- Manage attorney calendars and schedule depositions, client meetings, hearings, and calls
- Communicate with clients on case status, upcoming appointments, and next steps
- Correspond with opposing counsel, court reporters, process servers, and other external parties on behalf of attorneys
- Maintain and organize case files in our case management system, ensuring records are current and accurate
- Track case deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and flag anything at risk to the responsible attorney
- Prepare and send routine correspondence and documentation under attorney supervision
- Support attorneys with day-to-day administrative needs across their caseloads

Preferred (not required):
- Prior experience in a legal, insurance, or professional services environment
- Familiarity with legal drafting, terminology, or court procedures
- Experience working in a litigation environment
