Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of subrogation and recovery litigation, working on-site in Southfield, MI in a full-time capacity. Daily responsibilities include preparing and organizing legal documents and case files, drafting and formatting pleadings and motions, and assisting with discovery requests and responses. The role involves conducting legal and factual research, reviewing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review to support case management and accuracy of filings.
- Candidates should possess solid Legal Research abilities to assist attorneys with case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to subrogation and recovery matters.
- Candidates should possess experience drafting and handling Pleadings and Motions, including formatting, filing, and compliance with court rules.
- Candidates should possess excellent organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Candidates should possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with attorneys, staff, clients, and courts.
- Relevant experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in insurance, subrogation, or civil litigation, is beneficial.
- A paralegal certificate or degree in legal studies or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is a plus.
