Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to follow specifications accurately
- Install underground utilities such as sanitary sewers, water supply systems, stormwater systems, and oil & gas pipelines with precision
- Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground infrastructure before excavation or installation
- Use hand tools and pipe lasers to ensure proper pipe alignment, pipe laser calibration, and accurate pipe installation
- Perform concrete finishing tasks including forming and pouring concrete for utility structures when needed
- Follow all safety regulations including federal construction safety standards to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of utility trenching, sewer line installation, pipeline work, and underground utilities installation
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to interpret construction plans and specifications
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to construction site operations and federal safety regulations
- Skilled in using hand tools, welding equipment, concrete finishing tools, and pipe lasers for precise work
- Experience working with wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, stormwater systems, and water supply projects is highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices including trench shoring, hazard recognition, and proper PPE use
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions while adhering to safety regulations
