Duties
- PayrollOne is seeking a dependable personable person to process multiple payrolls. Primary job duties include:
- Processing client payrolls and processing multi-state payrolls
- Assisting client and clients employees with system questions
- Maintaining client and employee files
- Setting up payroll deductions like insurance, 401k and garnishments
- File new hire reports
- Onboarding new clients
- Filing and paying payroll taxes (using PTM tax management software)
- Maintain comprehensive records of payroll data, employee benefits, tax filings, and audit documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors; perform account reconciliation to maintain data integrity.
- Contribute to process improvements by recommending automation opportunities within payroll workflows using financial software tools.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws regarding payroll taxes, wage laws, and reporting standards.
Candidates must have:
- Payroll or accounting experience or payroll/accounting education.
- Must be competent using Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Multi-tasking and meeting deadlines are also important to success in this role.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., PeopleSoft) and experience working with various financial software platforms is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in high-volume environments.
- Basic proficiency in 10-key typing along with strong comprehension of technical accounting concepts related to payroll processing. PayrollOne offers competitive pay and benefits and a hybrid work arrangement.
This position is full-time and although the schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., this position may require you to stay late or come in early to get assigned tasks completed on time.
Pay is dependent on Experience, starting at $52,000 per year.
