Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing glass in windows, doors, and other structures. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work with various tools and materials.
WILLING TO TRAIN WITH PROPER BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE. Compensation to be discussed at time of hire.
Duties:
- Demo, Install Commercial Storefront Systems, Entrances, Windows (Fixed & Operational)
- Measure, cut, and install glass in windows, doors, and other structures
- Remove old or broken glass and prepare surfaces for installation
- Fabricate and assemble metal framework for glass installation
- Install weatherstripping and seals to ensure proper insulation
- Repair or replace damaged glass or frames as needed
- Install and secure glass in frames using clips, moldings, or other securing devices
- Apply caulking or putty to seal joints and prevent air or water leak
- Install Custom Shower enclosures to specified dimensions and layouts
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Glazier or a similar role (Strongly Preferred but not required)
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools related to glazing work
- Strong knowledge of different types of glass, tools and techniques used in glass installation and construction practices
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting heavy glass panels and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, or crouching)
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during installation or repair
