What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Aide position at Demopolis Middle School?
Reports to: School Principal
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent and academic competency in basic English skills
- Must produce a valid TB Skin test
Responsibilities:
- Performs all routine work assignments as directed by the principal.
- Operates all instructional or office machines efficiently.
- Provides instructional assistance to students.
- Follows instructions given by the principal.
- Provides supervision of students when the principal gives the aide a special, emergency supervisory assignment.
- Is responsible for positive, cooperative behavior when working with children and other adults.
- Maintains good attendance, and makes requests and notifications before being absent.
- Maintains attractive, acceptable grooming and dress.
- Accepts training and on-the-job suggestions by the principal to improve behavior or technical skills.
- Maintains a positive and constructive attitude toward the confidential nature of the job.
