Job Description – CTE Instructional Aide
Reports to: CTE Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: This position is responsible for supervising, escorting, and monitoring students as they travel between the high school and WCCS, as well as ensuring student safety, attendance, and appropriate conduct while on both campuses.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent and academic competency in basic English skills
- Must produce a valid TB Skin test
- Possession of or willing to acquire a valid Alabama bus driver’s license.
Responsibilities:
- Escort CTE dual enrollment students to and from Wallace Community College Selma (WCCS) according to established schedules and procedures.
- Supervise students during transportation, on the WCCS campus, and on the high school campus as assigned.
- Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and participation; report concerns to the CTE Director.
- Maintain a professional, positive, orderly, and supportive environment that promotes student success.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CTE Director to support the CTE Dual Enrollment program.
- Accepts training and on-the-job suggestions by the CTE Director to improve behavior or technical skills.
