DeMars Residential Construction is seeking a highly skilled Painter to join our residential construction team. We specialize in custom-built homes, where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship are essential.
This role is responsible for preparing and finishing interior and exterior surfaces to a high standard. The ideal candidate takes pride in precision work and understands the expectations that come with working on custom residential projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking)
- Apply paint, stain, and coatings with a high level of precision
- Deliver clean lines, smooth finishes, and consistent coverage
- Execute detailed finish work on trim, cabinetry, and custom features
- Protect surrounding areas (floors, fixtures, trim) during painting
- Maintain tools, equipment, and materials
- Communicate with supervisors regarding job progress and needs
- Follow safety procedures and company standards on all job sites
Qualifications
Proven painting experience required (custom residential experience strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, detailed finishes
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders regularly
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders
- Knowledge of professional painting tools, materials, and techniques

Compensation & Benefits
